The Heartland Machine is coming to your town!
A project in conjunction with the Heartland exhibition opening at the Smart Museum this October , we are looking for interesting arts initiatives and interventions throughout the Midwest. Will be arriving in Chicago on September 24th in preparation for the exhibition opening and hope to meet with you and visit your space. Our project involves photographing and videotaping the people, places and cities who make art in this region to document and export in the most spectacular way. We will also be on a quest for materials and resources to build and complete our cultural contraption (see attached photo) but don’t need too much of your time.
Your group or art space has been recommended to us either by the Heartland curators or through our network of artists and friends. We hope that you will consider meeting with us and participating in the project in whatever capacity you see fit.
